IT Support Specialist Role

The role of IT Support Specialist involves providing technical expertise and analytical thinking to deliver high-quality IT solutions across the organisation. Key responsibilities include operational management of workplace technology services, delivery of modern IT solutions, support for project execution, and management of IT assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational management and governance of workplace technology services to ensure smooth operations
  • Delivery of modern, high-quality IT solutions that meet business needs
  • Support for the successful execution of projects, including governance and reporting
  • Management of IT assets end-to-end, including lifecycle and licensing
  • Investigation of recurring issues, root cause analysis, and implementation of lasting solutions to improve system reliability
  • Improvement of system performance and scalability, with a focus on automation to enhance efficiency
  • Leadership of IT change implementations, ensuring compliance with internal change policies
  • Maintenance of strong access control practices across supported platforms and applications
  • Collaboration with the cybersecurity team to ensure the security of our tech environment

Requirements:

  • Tech skills: Proficiency in Microsoft enterprise stack - M365, Intune, Entra; Operating systems knowledge - Windows, macOS, Cloud PC (Windows 365); Experience with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint Online, OneDrive; Hands-on support of Microsoft Teams Rooms
  • Networking basics including WAN and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
  • Personal skills: Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving; Calm, approachable, and customer-first attitude; Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver under pressure; Great communication skills - able to translate tech into plain language
  • Team player with confidence working independently
