About the Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of the crew. You will effectively lead people and equipment to carry out planned work activities. This role also has statutory obligations.

  • Prioritizing of tasks with the crew to achieve targets.
  • Provide leadership to the crew setting a positive example and assisting the team to reach their full potential.
  • Clearly define and communicate performance objectives and provide regular and objective feedback on performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and carrying out statutory inspections and mine standards.
  • Ensuring all workers work safely and efficiently while performing their duties with due regard for quality of work.
  • Complete required levels of reporting as part of information flow on site.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have a Queensland First, Second or Third-class Certificate of Competency or a Queensland Mutual Recognition. Or if you are willing to work towards achieving mutual recognition of competency from NSW to QLD. You will be able to think creatively, possess strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
