Program Director - ICT Project Delivery

We are seeking an experienced Program Director to lead the delivery of ICT projects within our Scheme Digital Platforms (SDP) branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of projects to meet the needs of several business programs of work within the SDP branch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direction and define project goals, scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment and buy-in from key stakeholders;
  • Develop the program schedule and maintain the OCIO plan, including risks, dependencies, and issues, and ensure timely resolutions;
  • Apply agile principles and practices to the program, providing coaching and feedback on alignment with a focus on continuous improvement;
  • Facilitate program reporting to monitor and report on program progress, performance, and outcomes, ensuring transparency and visibility to all stakeholders;
  • Work closely with business counterparts across multiple business programs to ensure a consistent service experience within SDP.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated minimum of 4 to 5 years in establishing and managing the delivery of technical ICT system delivery projects and/or programs, including digital cloud-based solutions utilizing agile principles;
  • Demonstrated experience in a Federal or State Government environment, with strong knowledge of contemporary project and program management and governance frameworks and methodologies;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and an industry-recognized qualification in project management, such as Diploma of Project Management or SAFe Agile Portfolio.
