About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in compiling construction reports, managing review flows, controlling review comment close-out processes, and performing general duties on site.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage maintenance, modifications, and demobilization of smoke duct gantries totaling 14 units.
  • Generate scheduled change-out regimes for high-risk components on scabbling and drill gantries.
  • Report on scheduled and breakdown maintenance.
  • Provide engineering support for traversing lower plenty boxes by all 14 gantries.
  • Verify conformance for works under control (quality, safety, environment).
  • Design temporary works and ensure relevant approvals are obtained.
  • Support a positive work environment and promote good employee relations.
  • Collaborate with maintenance engineers, shift supervisors, and foremen to improve maintenance procedures and plant equipment.
  • Demonstrate people management skills by managing work and performance of teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.
  • Provide onsite engineering services and technical support for short-term planning and programming of works.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a relevant discipline.
  • A Master's or Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.

Desirable Skills:

  • Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and monitoring.
  • Skills in computer software packages, including Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail.
