We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Defence Delivery, Digital Data Cyber team based in Adelaide, Melbourne, or Sydney. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in clarifying customer needs and ensuring delivered solutions meet both business and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and manage business analysis activities, identifying stakeholders and determining analysis techniques.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder consultation, defining project scope and objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document customer requirements, ensuring they accurately reflect customer needs and are managed for traceability, change, and reuse.
- Contribute to stakeholder management and communications, through effective expectation management and prioritization, and mapping of requirements to stakeholder needs.
- Contribute to solution selection and feasibility, ensuring cost-effective solutions that meet customer requirements, objectives, and deliver value.
- Verify solutions against customer requirements, developing and delivering plans for customer acceptance.
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis roles within complex environments (3-5 years desirable).
- Demonstrated experience in eliciting, documenting, and managing business requirements across the project lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing and documenting current state versus future state processes.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing and defining acceptance criteria for system testing.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
- Working knowledge of current best practice in Business Analysis (e.g., via CCBA certification or in-depth knowledge of BABOK).
- Relevant tertiary qualification and professional certifications are desirable.
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a Baseline clearance.
