Data Analyst in Higher Education

At the University of Adelaide, we are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence and Analytics Team.
We are offering a Continuing, Full-Time position with an estimated salary range of $98,343 - $109,989 per annum, plus 17% superannuation. This role will be based in Adelaide, South Australia.
The successful candidate will have experience in analysis and reporting development, as well as strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. They will also have knowledge of data management and business intelligence concepts and practices, and be proficient in data manipulation tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Cognos.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about working in a Data and Analytics environment. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, facilitating workshops, developing specifications, and project managing the delivery of business intelligence and reporting solutions.
The Planning and Analytics team is part of the Division of University Operations, which provides enabling services and resource capabilities to support the teaching and research activities of the University. We work closely with stakeholders across the University and externally to achieve our goals.
About the RoleThis is a key business initiative that requires a strong understanding of data management and business intelligence concepts and practices. You will be working closely with the Business Intelligence Developers and Data Engineers to develop plans, monitor progress, and achieve the University's goals.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze business requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to communicate ideas and gather feedback.
- Develop specifications and project manage the delivery of business intelligence and reporting solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide high-quality solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in analysis and reporting development.
- Interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills appropriate for working with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, expectations, and relationship management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data management and business intelligence concepts and practices.
- Skills in data manipulation tools and/or programming languages such as SQL, Power BI, and Cognos.
