About the Role

The Royal Australian Navy's (RAN) Bridge Training Faculty (BTF) is a world-class training facility equipped with cutting-edge technology, including 6 full mission simulators and 4 part mission simulators.

As a Maritime Warfare Training Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Maritime Warfare Instructor and RAN staff to deliver premier training to Maritime Warfare Officers. Your role is crucial in operating the simulator and facilitating realistic, scenario-based training, ensuring RAN Officers receive the most accurate and effective preparation possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the simulator to ensure optimal performance
  • Develop and deliver training programs tailored to the needs of Maritime Warfare Officers
  • Collaborate with RAN staff to design and implement training scenarios
  • Provide expert guidance and support to trainees

About You

We welcome applications from Defence personnel across all Maritime/Navy backgrounds. Whether you have experience in Combat Systems (CSO), Maritime Warfare (MW), Electronic Warfare (EW), or Communications and Information Systems (CIS), we value the diverse skill sets that contribute to our goals.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 - SECRET defence security clearance or higher
  • Proven military experience with a strong understanding of tactical training environments
  • This is a position of trust and responsibility, and we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a national police check as an essential selection component for this role
