About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maritime Warfare Instructor to join our team at Serco Defence. As a Senior Maritime Warfare Instructor, you will play a critical role in delivering high-level training in navigation and tactical operations to the Royal Australian Navy's junior Maritime Warfare Officers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering specialist navigation and warfare training programs
  • Utilizing simulation-based training to enhance learning outcomes
  • Supporting course development and review processes
  • Maintaining expertise in navigation and warfare tactics and systems
  • Providing training outside regular hours on a shift roster

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in navigation and warfare, with a minimum of 18 months experience as the Navigating Officer or Principal Warfare Officer on a RAN Frigate or Destroyer, within the last 5 years, or Commonwealth equivalent.

You will also possess excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure.

We are looking for a motivated, resilient and focussed professional who is passionate about delivering training to the next generation of Navy Officers.
