Northern Region Bushfire Protection Specialist

As a key leader in bushfire mitigation, you will oversee the planning and execution of strategies to prevent and prepare for wildfires across the Northern Region. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety of communities and minimizing the risk of devastating fires.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective bushfire mitigation strategies, including risk assessments, prioritization, options assessment, and evaluation of residual risk.
- Lead the Fire Warden network, overseeing appointments, induction, training, and dispute resolution to ensure a cohesive team effort.
- Assume the Chief Fire Warden role in their absence, providing guidance and support to the team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders from rural and remote communities.
- Meet the mandatory requirements and attributes as outlined in the generic RFSQ Inspector role description.
