Job Title: IT Asset Manager

Job Description:
  • As a seasoned professional in IT asset management, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of software assets, ensuring visibility, control, and compliance across the enterprise.
  • You will develop and maintain robust policies and procedures aligned with ITIL best practices to ensure optimal asset management outcomes.
  • Leverage platforms like ServiceNow (or similar) to manage a centralized software asset repository and monitor software usage, entitlements, installations, and licensing across diverse environments and vendors.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through usage analysis and licensing optimization, and deliver risk assessments and compliance reports to support audits and vendor reconciliations.
  • Partner with procurement, finance, security, and operations teams to manage software assets end-to-end, conducting regular audits to ensure licensing accuracy and detect inefficiencies.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support vendor negotiations and contract renewals, championing continuous improvement in asset management tools, processes, and team awareness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in IT asset management within mid-to-large scale ICT environments.
  • Deep understanding of licensing frameworks for major vendors (e.g. Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, VMware).
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow for asset discovery and compliance tracking.
  • Strong grasp of ITIL principles, especially in Asset and Configuration Management.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable trends.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and executive levels.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, insightful reports and dashboards for strategic decision-making.
