Strategic Project Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Project Operations Manager to join our team at the Department of State Growth.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term, flexible basis position (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for two years. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects and delivering new capabilities across the Division and Branch.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Divisional and Branch staff to prepare for, manage and deliver identified project and new capabilities.
- Coordinate and manage the implementation, delivery, and support of the new external Boards' Management solution.
- Lead the definition, approach, facilitation, risk management and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects.
- Utilise appropriate project management methods and tools, ensure reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure.
- Manage the change implementation processes and assist the user community in their transition.
- Facilitate open communication and discussion between stakeholders.
- Identify specific measures and mechanisms by which benefits can be measured and monitor benefits against what was predicted in the business case.
- Develop project documentation, updates, progress reports etc; and
- Present project reports to project management and Steering Committee's
- Provide effective leadership to the project team.
- A Bachelor level qualification in business administration, governance, or related field or higher.
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
