About the Role

  • Lead the implementation of training programs and professional development activities for Forensic Child and Youth Mental Health Services clinicians.
  • Develop a workforce development strategy focused on internal staff training, retention, and recruitment.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to establish minimum training requirements for each service and facilitate opportunities to meet these requirements.
  • Ensure training meets best practice standards and reflects developments in forensic mental health and child and adolescent mental health.
  • Establish and maintain staff training records with regular review and evaluation.
  • Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge in providing specialist services to children and adolescents.
  • Provide consultation and clinical services, advising on complex clinical issues.
  • Apply advanced clinical knowledge to inform workforce development.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in child and adolescent mental health and forensic mental health.
  • Proven experience in leading training programs and developing workforce development strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
