About us :
Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. Specialist Medical Services include Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Haematology, Medical Oncology, Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care and Anaesthetics. There are also a range of clinical services provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland.
About the role :
We are seeking a Senior Staff Specialist / Staff Specialist / Senior Medical Officer to provide:
- Inpatient, community, and consultative specialist Palliative Care Services for CQ Health.
- Professional leadership to staff across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS), and active contribution to the multidisciplinary care team.
- Organization, management, and provision of specialist clinical services in Palliative Care for CQ Health.
About you :
- MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- For Staff Specialist: Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Palliative Medicine with AHPRA, requiring Fellowship of the Australian Chapter of Palliative Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FAChPM – RACP). Extensive experience in palliative medicine may be considered.
- For Senior Medical Officer: Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in General Practice with AHPRA, requiring Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Australia College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM), with extensive experience in palliative medicine. A Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine is highly regarded but not mandatory.
- Enrolment and ongoing maintenance of CME programs with appropriate bodies is mandatory.
What we offer :
Total remuneration up to $528,432 p.a., comprising:
- A salary between $182,106 - $187,801 p.a. (L13-L14)
- A salary between $176,802 - $244,201 p.a. (L13-L18)
- A salary between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24)
- A salary between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27)
