Hindmarsh Construction is seeking a highly experienced National Design and Services Lead to join our team. As a key member of our leadership group, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our design management plan across the country.

Reporting to the National Construction Manager, you will lead a team of Design Managers and Services Managers, overseeing workforce resource planning and ensuring that our design and services management requirements are met on all projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining our design management plan
  • Leading the design team in business development events and representing the company with industry bodies and associations
  • Managing our approach to sustainability and embodied carbon
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure our design and services management requirements are met

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
  • 10+ years of experience in a Design Manager, Design Consultant or Project Manager role within a building contractor (Tier 1 or Tier 2)
  • Proven experience across a range of project types, including commercial, education, health, data centres, and industrial projects
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant construction legislation, codes, and regulations
  • Competent in using Aconex, Bluebeam, and other construction software programs
  • Advanced user of CAD and BIM technology
