Job Summary

Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the Food and Beverage department, including restaurant, bar, room service, and conference and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and Manage the Food and Beverage Team
    • Lead, train, and motivate a team of food and beverage staff to ensure exceptional service standards.
    • Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any concerns or special requests.
  • Operational Management
    • Supervise the daily operations of the food and beverage department, including inventory management, ordering, and stock control.
    • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu items are delivered according to hotel standards.
  • Guest Service and Feedback
    • Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any concerns or special requests.
    • Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
  • Business Development and Revenue Growth
    • Assist in the development and implementation of promotions and events to drive revenue.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Host briefings and team meetings to communicate department performance and strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Food and Beverage management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team working skills, and able to manage schedules.
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment, and resolve guest complaints.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food handling best practices, and inventory management.
