Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will allow you to make a genuine difference in the lives of people living with low vision or blindness.
About the RoleIn this position, you will work closely with clients across all age groups, providing expert advice on home modifications, equipment, and assistive technology to enhance their independence and quality of life.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in the neurological/vision space, working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide direct vision-related services to our clients and the community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments, plan, implement, and review programs for clients in hospital, school, home, and community settings.
- Design, implement, monitor, and evaluate consumer-focused vision rehabilitation programs.
- Work autonomously in client homes and the community, utilizing a broad range of OT skills.
- Provide education for a range of stakeholders, including families, carers, and healthcare professionals.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for registration.
- Experience working with clients across all age groups, including those with neurological vision loss, assistive technology, and/or early intervention.
- A willingness to continuously upskill and learn new technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The salary for this position is $90,000 per annum, plus benefits including a company car, mobile phone, laptop, and salary sacrifice options.
