Infrastructure Development Leader

A dynamic opportunity exists for a highly experienced Development Engineer to lead and support a team of professional engineers and planners in delivering timely and compliant development assessments and infrastructure approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and undertake engineering assessments for Development Applications, ensuring alignment with all relevant legislation and standards.
  • Manage post-consent processes including Subdivision Works Certificates and approvals under the Roads Act 1993 and Local Government Act 1993.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to a team of professionals across engineering and development planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering policies, practices, and the delivery of public infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support precinct planning and development activities.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in development engineering assessments and determinations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing applications for Subdivision Works Certificates and Roads Act approvals.
  • Strong working knowledge of MUSIC and DRAINS modelling software.
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence and White Card General Construction Induction.
  • Proven leadership and team coordination experience in a local government or consultancy environment.
