Job Title: Infrastructure Development Specialists

Civil infrastructure development and maintenance specialists play a pivotal role in delivering construction and upkeep activities. They perform physical labouring duties, operate plant and equipment, and undertake various tasks to ensure the upkeep and development of vital civil infrastructure across local government areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general labouring duties relevant to civil construction and maintenance activities such as installing concrete assets, road maintenance, stormwater and drainage, asset repairs, signage maintenance, and emergency response.
  • Operate minor plant and equipment associated with construction and maintenance work.
  • Work as part of a team with minimal supervision and commit to working in a cohesive team environment and multiskilling.
  • Perform basic administrative duties requiring basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Making decisions and acting with initiative to identify and solve basic problems.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability in general labouring duties relevant to civil construction and maintenance activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate minor plant and equipment associated with construction and maintenance work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and act with initiative.
