About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced WHS Manager to join our team at our Brisbane Fulfillment Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving our Amazon WHS culture and leading continuous improvement initiatives to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for our associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a small site-based WHS team and develop leadership development plans for your team members.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to EHS hazards and develop local site WHS procedures and processes to meet Amazon Global Standards.
  • Analyze safety metrics and review and report on weekly and monthly incident trends.
  • Measure sites' performance against published requirements in safety and health policies and identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies.
  • Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
  • Perform frequent site WHS audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes.
  • Lead and mentor Safety Associates or H&S representatives in your assigned facility.
  • Ensure contractor management safety processes are implemented.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
  • Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
  • Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred).
