About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced WHS Advisor to join our team at Safety People. As a WHS Advisor, you will play a critical role in the coordination and promotion of our Safety Management System in accordance with legislative requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert WHS guidance and support to all employees.
  • Coordinate and consult on WHS programs and policies.
  • Lead WHS investigations and incident management processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of WHS strategies and training programs.
  • Oversee compliance with WHS legislation and company policies.
  • Manage rehabilitation and return-to-work processes as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of WHS systems and procedures.
  • Assist in disaster management and recovery efforts.
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • QLD Construction White Card (General Safety Induction).
  • QLD C class driver's licence (provisional licence minimum).
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems, risk assessments, and WHS legislation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to train and present to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in local government/civil construction is highly desirable.
  • Full Australian working rights.
