We are seeking a highly skilled Cafe Attendant to join our team. This role is ideal for those who have excellent customer service skills, a passion for delivering exceptional experiences, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deliver first-class services to all customers by being attentive, friendly, and responsive to their needs.
  • To maintain the appearance and presentation of the cafe, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times.
  • To replenish condiments and supplies as needed, maintaining optimal levels to meet customer demand.
  • To follow health and safety guidelines, adhering to company protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • To provide exceptional cashier experience, taking orders and handling cash transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • To apply sound cash handling principles, utilizing Point of Sale (POS) systems effectively and maintaining accurate records.
  • To promote the centre's services and programs to patrons, providing information on product range and highlighting healthy food options.
  • To develop and maintain good working relationships with patrons, responding promptly to their queries and concerns.
  • To demonstrate flexibility during peak periods, adapting to changing circumstances and prioritizing tasks accordingly.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • A positive, friendly, and helpful work style, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Coffee making and barista skills, with the ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • A Food Handling Certificate, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • A Current First Aid Certificate (Workplace Level 2), enabling prompt response to emergencies and incidents.
  • A Current CPR Certificate, guaranteeing the provision of life-saving interventions when required.
  • A Current Food Handlers Qualification, demonstrating proficiency in food preparation and handling practices.
  • A Police Check, verifying an individual's suitability for employment and safeguarding vulnerable groups.
  • A Working with Children Check, confirming an individual's eligibility to work with children and young people.
  • The ability to be flexible during peak periods, adapting to changing circumstances and prioritizing tasks accordingly.
  • Availability on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring coverage of weekends and bank holidays.
