Cafe Host

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a cafe host. As a cafe host, you will be responsible for ensuring that all customers have a positive and enjoyable experience while visiting our cafe.

This includes greeting customers warmly, taking their orders, serving food and drinks, handling payments, and resolving any issues that may arise during their visit.

You will work closely with the cafe manager and other team members to maintain high standards of customer service and ensure that our cafe runs smoothly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritizing Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to ensure a high standard of hospitality and service.
  • Maintaining Efficiency: Maintain a friendly, efficient, and speedy approach to customer service.
  • Teamwork: Contribute to a positive team environment by maintaining high levels of personal presentation, teamwork, and constructive communication.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Prepare and serve high-quality hot and cold beverages, including coffees, to menu standards.
  • Payment Processing: Process customer payments at the till with speed, accuracy, and friendliness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with customers and colleagues.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Food Preparation: Knowledge of food preparation and handling procedures.
  • Point-of-Sale Systems: Familiarity with Point-of-Sale systems.
