Transportation Geotechnical Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our geotechnical business class in transportation projects. The successful candidate will oversee national engagement in deep foundation design and construction, developing a cohesive geotechnical community of practice in the southeastern United States.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate technical competencies of geotechnical staff to meet client needs and market drivers.
  • Engage in alternate delivery projects to provide expertise in deep foundation design and construction.
  • Select, train, mentor, and manage geotechnical personnel.
  • Promote the geotechnical practice and establish partnerships to advance innovative concepts and mitigate risks.
  • Contribute to HDR's geotechnical practice and professional discipline groups, project teams, and activities to continually improve standards and best practices.
  • Participate in geotechnical strategic planning and implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
  • 10 years experience in a related field.
  • Maintains a professional registration and has related technical experience.
  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active PE registration in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
  • Proficient with geotechnical aspects of deep foundation construction and construction claim mitigation.
  • Master of Science or higher in Engineering (Geotechnical/Geologic engineering) or equivalent level of experience.
