Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team as an Emergency and Critical Care Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a leadership role and work closely with our Nurse Manager and other Team Leaders to ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations.
About the Role- This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and leadership abilities.
- You will be responsible for managing day-to-day staffing, conducting 1-1 meetings, mentoring, and supporting your team members.
- Other key responsibilities include admission and triage of emergency patients, provision of support for all medical procedures on critical care patients, and on-the-job training and coaching of team members.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar Emergency, referral, or after-hours care environment.
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work as part of a team or autonomously.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and effectively balance competing demands.
- Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Great work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of SASH.
- An attractive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
