Hotel Maintenance Professional Wanted

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Hotel Maintenance Professional to join our Rooms Division team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the hotel asset is effectively maintained, upholding the IHG Way of Preventative Maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Carry out regular proactive maintenance tasks in guest rooms and public areas to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
  • Documentation & Administration: Use our digital maintenance system to log work orders, track progress, and document completed tasks. Manage par levels to request supplies as needed.
  • Assist with Basic Repairs: Repair hotel fixtures, fittings, furniture, and equipment.
  • Support Safety and Security: Follow safety procedures to maintain a secure environment, ensuring all work aligns with health and safety standards.
  • Clean & Tidy: Keep workspaces and maintenance areas clean and organized.

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on attitude, strong communication skills, and high attention to detail. They should also be able to manually handle up to 15kg comfortably and reflect our True Hospitality Values.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 15kg and move heavy objects
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience preferred
