
Sydney Patient Liaison Officer Position

The role of the Customer Service Representative is crucial in the success of our financial strategy to raise additional revenue from patients electing to use their Private Health Insurance. This position is responsible for developing effective relationships with key stakeholders and providing customer-focused information regarding their financial options.
- Developing strong connections with key stakeholders to provide customer-centric information about financial choices;
- Supporting patients and staff in making informed decisions about patient fee revenue, maximizing patient fee revenue, and ensuring admitted patient financial records are accurate and compliant with relevant policies and procedures;
- Relevant experience in a revenue, finance or similar position in a hospital setting, with demonstrated ability to meet revenue targets;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including high-level advocacy and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact sensitively and professionally with patients, their families, other staff and stakeholders involved in the financial case management process;
- Understanding of Medicare and Private Health Insurance arrangements within the Australian Healthcare System;
- Ability to critically analyze information and data, provide solution-based feedback, and clear concise reports for management;
- Ability to work a 7-day rotating shift across the hours of operation, including public holidays.
- Relevant experience in a revenue, finance or similar position in a hospital setting;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
