Core Yard Technician Role

The Core Yard Technician plays a pivotal role in facilitating the safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction and growth of the mineral resource.

This position involves processing diamond drill core through the site's core yard, ensuring minimal backlog. Grab sampling from surface and underground stockpiles is also a key responsibility.

In addition to these tasks, the technician will be responsible for preparing sites for geological mapping by washing down, paint markups, and measurement markups.

Working closely with Mine Geologists is essential, as the technician will conduct quality control on face sample collection, documentation, and delivery of samples to labs.

Undertaking daily workplace inspections and data entry into Microsoft software with attention to quality control are also critical aspects of this role.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial in this position.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with the team.
  • A current unrestricted WA Class 'C' Driver's License is required.
  • National police clearance, completed within 12 months prior to commencement, is also necessary.
