OCTEC Limited is a not-for-profit community organisation and Australia's largest Disability Employment Service Provider delivering high quality employment training advocacy and youth services from over 270 locations.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team in Richmond as a Career Consultant based at Casino.

No experience necessary; however, a genuine interest in helping others and a willingness to learn, adapt and think outside the box are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clients with barriers to employment, such as mental and physical disabilities, to develop and achieve employment goals.
  • Establish relationships with potential employers to source employment opportunities for clients.
  • Assist clients in identifying their skills, abilities and past experiences to obtain sustainable employment.
  • Refer clients to appropriate vocational and non-vocational services to up-skill and seek pathways to employment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, employers and stakeholders.
  • Build rapport and lasting relationships with employers/stakeholders, e.g. training services.
  • Work with clients to monitor and manage their job searching efforts to meet mutual obligation requirements with Centrelink.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records.
Requirements:
  • Passion for achieving sustainable outcomes for clients and employers/stakeholders/local communities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • High level time management, critical thinking, attention to detail and administration skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a positive attitude.

  • Eligibility to work in Australia.

  • Availability Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
