About the Role:

The Strategic Contract Development Manager is responsible for driving contract development activities to ensure optimal value delivery, effective contract execution, and risk mitigation.

This role provides a vital link between stakeholders to develop aligned pathways for improved outcomes in rural and remote areas of South Australia.

  • Contract Development: Provide guidance on best practices for contract management, develop strategies with key stakeholders, review contract documentation, and monitor complex contracts.
  • Team Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Initiate and implement continuous improvement initiatives, develop policies and procedures, foster a collaborative team environment, and build trust and rapport.
  • Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and address risks associated with contracted services, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain relationships with critical suppliers and service providers.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and key stakeholders, develop stakeholder management plans, and maintain relationships with other agencies and jurisdictions.
  • Financial Oversight: Provide oversight for adherence to delegations of authority, deliver leadership for financial management processes, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and statutory requirements.
  • Communication and Awareness: Develop communication plans, communicate proactively with stakeholders, educate on effective contract management practices, and promote awareness.
