About the Job

As a professional in electrical plant testing, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, operating and commissioning of Electrical Plant, Protection, Control Metering and Communications equipment.

This role requires an individual with a strong background in electrical systems, specifically in the area of protection and control. You will work closely with other teams to ensure safe and reliable supply of electricity.

The successful candidate will have experience working with medium to complex electrical systems, as well as knowledge of business escalation and incident management processes.

Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in testing services of Electrical Plant, Protection & Control systems up to 500kV
  • Experience in performing electrical testing on medium to complex systems
  • Hold a Sanction for Test authority (SFT) and effectively test plant in accordance with the SFT authority
  • Competent in the use of IT systems including SCADA, GIS, EDNAR, RESIS, Google Enterprise, ENMAC via Webview
  • A practical understanding of business escalation & incident management processes
  • Advanced Diploma (ESI Power Systems); or a recognised equivalent qualification
  • Statement of Attainment for Competency Standard Units; Current Refresher Training records
