Job Title: Electrical Engineering Specialist

The role of an electrical engineering specialist is crucial in maintaining plant efficiency and implementing effective maintenance strategies. This position involves working closely with engineers to design, plan, and implement electrical installations on various infrastructure systems.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Developing technical drawings, plans, and diagrams for electrical installations, circuits, and stations.
  • Collaborating with engineers and the engineering team to design and layout electrical installations on substations, switches, cabling systems, and motor control systems.
  • Planning and overseeing preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment and tools.
  • Executing designed improvements by installing and/or fabricating those plans.
  • Procuring necessary consumables and materials while considering cost-effectiveness.
  • Working alongside onsite installers for alterations to installation equipment or tools.
  • Assembling, testing, updating, and monitoring electrical equipment to ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements.
  • Installing assemblies for protection relays, metering, and monitoring devices.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant environment or comparable job position.
  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Excellent skills in interpreting and drafting technical drawings.
  • Confidence in designing and implementing improvements in electrical processes.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently.
