About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our Building Services team at WSP. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality hydraulic services design and analysis on various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hydraulic services design and analysis on projects, including design basis, scope of works specifications, and industry standards.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, bid evaluations, construction support activities, and design revisions.
  • Undertake design, construction, and investigative reporting, implementing National Standards, Codes of Practice, and industry requirements.
  • Deliver best practice and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time.
  • Provide project coordination and management when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teams.
  • Build solid client relationships and represent the business with local and regional markets.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a recognized Tertiary Engineering Qualification or other relevant qualification. You should be registered (or eligible for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.

  • Proven local experience in providing technical hydraulic services design and analysis on projects across various sectors.
  • Ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design.
  • Proven project experience in the building services sector across Infrastructure, Property & Buildings, Defence, Healthcare, and Education.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
  • Demonstrate a history of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritizing work, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Capable project and people leader - train, and mentor junior engineers, coupled with effective communication skills at all levels.
