Job Title: Carer

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide high-quality care and support to our residents at a homelike environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care, support and assistance to residents ensuring their rights, interests and needs are met.
  • Encourage and promote activities that cater for residents' diverse needs.
  • Assist residents to communicate effectively, maintaining their independence and freedom of choice.
  • Respond promptly to residents' requests for personal care and other assistance.
  • Maintain accurate resident records and information in accordance with specified policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a clean, comfortable, and safe living space for the resident.
  • Support residents' choices and preferences, promoting a positive quality of life.
Requirements:
  • Possess a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
  • Hold a minimum 6 months+ experience working in Residential Aged Care.
  • Be available over various shifts for a minimum of 3-4 days a week.
  • Exhibit ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Display empathy and understanding when interacting with the elderly.
  • Exercise flexible decision-making and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Employ effective time management and organisational skills to prioritise work tasks.
  • Develop strong relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues.
