Schools Officer Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Schools Officer to join our team in maintaining the daily operations of school grounds and facilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining day-to-day activities such as delivering and collecting mail, parcels, and documents; recording and delivering messages; printing and photocopying; preparing classrooms for examinations and activity halls, including moving and arranging furniture and seating.
  • Supporting security duties at the school that involve using and maintaining school security systems; banking of school funds; and locking and unlocking buildings (within core hours).
  • Assisting with various duties including clearing and hosing of drains and gutters; collection of waste, food, and paper on school grounds; undertaking immediate action cleaning duties outside normal operating hours; coordinating removal and disposal of rubbish as required.
  • E nsuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements including maintenance of a safe work environment; safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers, and fuel; bringing to attention any safety hazards; managing equipment records; and maintaining tools and equipment for repair services according to manufacturers' service manuals.
