The Fleet Allocator plays a critical role in our Finished Vehicle Logistics team at Wingfield SA. This key position is responsible for planning and executing the day-to-day delivery of freight, ensuring timely and efficient transportation while meeting customer and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manifest the timely and efficient delivery of freight to ensure DIFOT and cost management targets are achieved
  • Book additional ad-hoc transport as required
  • Ensure the dispatching depot is provided manifests and appropriate paperwork
  • Liaise with depot supervisors and team leaders to ensure timely loading of PUD vehicles
  • Ensure all incidents, hazards and non-compliances are reported and corrective actions implemented in a timely manner
  • Investigate and resolve service and/or operational issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure runs are compliant with all statutory and company requirements, including but not limited to driver fatigue and load restraint
  • Ensure critical processes are completed in our Transport Management System within required timeframes
Requirements
  • Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office applications, and capable of learning new systems and working with technologies generally
  • Good written and verbal communication, time management and customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, know when to seek advice, suggest solutions or escalate as required
  • A general understanding of the road network and major routes across South Australia is essential
