Environmental Management Specialist

This role focuses on identifying and managing environmental risks as well as value creation opportunities that are relevant to the business.

The key responsibilities include creating, implementing, and monitoring environmental strategies in alignment with recognised standards. Additionally, this involves developing environmental management standards, principles, and risk frameworks for delivery by operational management across the organisation.

The Environmental Management Specialist will contribute to the continual improvement of the Global Environmental Plan. Furthermore, they will promote positive environmental practices in all operations, design, and procurement areas.

Key skills and qualifications required for this role include a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in an environmental management role with a focus on strategy, reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental strategies to manage legal, reputational, and operational environmental risks.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Global Environmental Plan.
  • Identify and promote best practices in environmental management across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in an environmental management role with a focus on strategy, reporting and analytics.
