Asset Management Technical Specialist

The Bureau's asset management system plays a pivotal role in the lifecycle management of critical infrastructure and equipment. As an Asset Management Technical Specialist, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and technical support of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, primarily focusing on IBM Maximo and Maximo Mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Solutions Design: Design and implement technical solutions to improve asset management processes and system functionality, including customising applications, automations, escalations, and reports to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot issues, manage product fixes in partnership with vendors, and ensure the system remains robust and aligned with best practices.
  • Training and Coaching: Provide technical coaching, training, and clear documentation to enable adoption of asset management solutions across the organisation.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with asset owners, subject matter experts, and vendors to ensure Maximo solutions support strategic asset management goals.
  • System Upgrades and Testing: Participate in system upgrades, testing, and integration activities to deliver enhancements that improve efficiency, data integrity, and decision-making.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Maximo Development Experience: Extensive experience in Maximo development and configuration.
  • Asset Management Expertise: Strong understanding of asset management processes and enterprise systems.
  • Technical Guidance and Documentation: Ability to provide technical guidance and documentation; capable of training users and stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
