Looking for a challenging and rewarding role in rural medicine?

This exciting opportunity is available for a GP who is passionate about delivering patient-centred care and expanding their clinical skills.

  • Supervising registrars and medical students as part of an accredited training practice

The standard work hours include 10 sessions per week during consulting hours, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. You will also have the option to provide emergency on-call services to the local hospital as part of a shared roster.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Vocationally Recognised status
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • Current experience in emergency medicine
  • Able to obtain credentials as a General Practitioner in the clinical domain of GP Medicine (emergency medicine)

A postgraduate qualification relevant to general practice is desirable, but not essential.

About the Practice:

We are a mixed billing practice with a strong family focus, providing exceptional healthcare to a diverse community in a high-need location.

Our practice provides 24-hour emergency on-call services to the local community hospital.

The hospital is an acute medical facility with 22 beds and 24-hour accident and emergency services.

All local doctors have admitting privileges to the hospital, ensuring seamless patient care.

About the Town:

Ardrossan is a thriving community located near the entrance to the Yorke Peninsula.

It's known for its tourism, fishing, and farming industries, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and economic opportunities.

The town has excellent schools, including a local Kindergarten and Ardrossan Area School, which provides education from Reception to Year 12.

Private school facilities are also available in nearby towns, catering to students from Reception to Year 7.
