Key Role in Election Delivery

This is a crucial position within the delivery of the 2026 state election, requiring close collaboration with Electoral Commission SA business units to achieve successful outcomes. As a Senior Procurement Advisor, you will provide timely guidance and support to branches on procurement needs, review and manage higher-value procurements, and develop expertise in market approaches, tendering, and contracts.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and support to branches on procurement needs, including reviewing and managing higher-value procurements and whole-of-organisation contracts.
  • Develop and communicate subject-matter expertise on best practices in market approaches, tendering, and contracts.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline delegations and procurement approval processes, applying a risk-management approach.
  • Maintain and communicate up-to-date policy and process documentation, advice, hints, and tips, as well as procurement-related templates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Detailed knowledge of SA Government procurement policies and ability to autonomously develop end-to-end procurement documentation.
  • Effective negotiation skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions
  • This role requires flexibility and may involve extensive out-of-hours duty during elections.
  • Suitable candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history check and adhere to the strict neutrality requirements of the Commission.
