About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lifestyle and Community Coordinator to join our team at Bupa Ballina. As a key member of our care home team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Person-First Leisure and Lifestyle Programs, promoting emotional and physical rehabilitation, and providing quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of recreational activity officers to promote holistic wellbeing and provide residents with quality care.
  • Develop and implement Person-First Leisure and Lifestyle Programs that cater to individual resident needs, values, spiritual, and cultural preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to plan and organize recreational activities, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Conduct documented assessments to determine resident capabilities, needs, and problems, and develop strategies to address these.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and work health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or degree-level qualifications highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an aged or community care setting.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate is essential.
  • Highly developed organization and time management skills, with the ability to solve problems independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes.
