About the Role

As a Senior Safety Advisor in the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) group at Energy Queensland, you will be responsible for working with the business to manage and deliver safety-related projects and initiatives to support business performance. This will involve working independently and collaboratively to propose strategies, research, plan, project manage, and lead the implementation of safety-related standards, processes, and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver safety-related projects and initiatives to support business performance
  • Work with the business to propose strategies, research, plan, project manage, and lead the implementation of safety-related standards, processes, and practices
  • Support HSE contractor management processes, including onboarding contractors and evaluating contract management systems
  • Act as a safety subject matter expert (SME) to leaders and key stakeholders
  • Travel intrastate and interstate, as required, to support projects and initiatives
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Safety Advisor to join our team. You will have a degree qualification in Health, Safety and Environment or Project Management (or related discipline/demonstrable experience) and strong working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards. You will also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously and self-motivate.
