About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and professional Health & Safety Project Officer to promote and maintain a health and safety culture for all employees at the Autism Association.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Health & Safety team, facilitating a safe working environment through continuous improvement of the existing Health & Safety framework and promoting a positive health and safety culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and monitoring WHS projects, initiatives, improvements, milestones and timeframes
  • Maintaining accurate reportable WHS data for compilation of WHS reporting
  • Monitoring and facilitating the WHS Management System document review and control process
  • Assisting with the coordination of WHS Management system audits
  • Contributing to the development of relevant WHS training material
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 2 years' experience in a similar Health and Safety role
  • Relevant knowledge of WHS legislation and practices related to Health and Safety
  • Understanding of the principles of a Health & Safety Management System
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Motivated to deliver a high standard of customer service
