Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Fitter to join our team in Melbourne. As an Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting electrical components into switchboards and cabinets, as well as installing electrical switchgear and control assemblies.

The Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assembly of electrical components into switchboards and cabinets
  • Installation of power cabling and control wiring
  • Copper bus bar manufacturing and installation
  • Interpretation of switchboard general arrangement drawings
  • Installation of electrical switchgear and control assemblies
  • Electrical testing and commissioning of MV & LV equipment

Ideal Qualifications and Skills:

  • Certificate III in Switchgear and Control gear or Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience as an electrical fitter with strong technical knowledge of electrical switchboards, control systems, wiring and copper bus bar work, motor control, power distribution, electrical installations, and manufacturing practices
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
