Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior QA Automation Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the development of a large Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) system.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing a large enterprise software system with complex workflows and multiple inter-connected services. They will also be required to understand, maintain, and improve manual and automated test cases as well as relevant knowledge articles.

Main Responsibilities

  • Testing a large enterprise software system with complex workflows and multiple inter-connected services.
  • Understanding, maintaining, and improving manual and automated test cases as well as relevant knowledge articles.
  • Developing a deep knowledge of product features and business rules for existing and new functionalities.
  • Collaborating with Product, User Experience, and Engineering teams.
  • Understanding business requirements and determining the appropriate testing approaches considering the impact of the changes.
  • Communicating clearly with different areas of the business and team members.
  • Performing functional and exploratory testing and identifying any risks for upcoming releases.
  • Raising issues for identified product failures and being able to perform effective bug advocacy.
  • Proactively engaging in continuous process improvement initiatives and finding better ways to get things done.
  • Relentlessly focusing on personal development to improve efficiency and performance.

Requirements

  • Experience with iterative agile software development processes.
  • Experience with automated and manual testing, test case management, environment management, and release management processes.
  • Experience with writing automated tests for web applications and APIs.
  • Experience with Git and maintaining well-organized source code.
  • Experience with containerized systems (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Linux/Unix based environments with basic commands.
  • Experience with SQL and database testing.
  • Experience with environment management and CI/CD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to correlate and connect related concepts and issues.
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy, consistency, and thoroughness.
  • Ability to investigate complex issues and identify root causes.
  • A fast learner with a strong desire to understand product features and complex workflows.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including generous paid parental leave and comprehensive premium medical insurance.
