Senior Industrial Relations Specialist

The role of Senior Industrial Relations Specialist is crucial in providing expert advice and services to managers on employee and industrial relations matters, including interpretation of legislation, policies, systems and practices.
- Undertake research and analysis of employee and industrial relations matters for enterprise bargaining and related activities.
- Participate in consultation and negotiations with stakeholders, departmental work units, professional associations, employer representatives and central agencies.
- Lead projects focused on industrial relations outcomes associated with enterprise bargaining, including policy and procedure development and evaluation.
- Prepare high-level discussion papers, correspondence and briefing material on complex employment relations issues.
- Establish networks and liaise with officers from other agencies, unions and external bodies to promote and monitor contemporary employee and industrial relations matters.
- Help solve problems by generating options and identifying relevant risks and mitigation strategies.
Other suitable duties consistent with the position may be directed by the Director or nominated delegate.
