Industrial Relations Specialist Role Overview

Take your career to the next level as an Industrial Relations Specialist. As a key player, you will drive strategic projects, collaborate with professionals, and contribute to shaping industrial relations strategies.

This role is pivotal in maintaining sound and proactive industrial relations practices, ensuring they align with business objectives. You will leverage expertise in Industrial and/or Employee relations to:

  • Lead negotiations with employee and union bargaining representatives
  • Advise on industrial disputes, risk mitigation, and associated legal processes
  • Assist in preparing briefing papers on IR matters
  • Provide guidance on workplace relations policies, procedures, contracts, and agreements
  • Prepare carefully drafted documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Review and develop Employee Relations policies and procedures
  • Lead dispute resolution, advocacy, and manage matters before the Fair Work Commission

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with:

  • Tertiary degree in a related field
  • Significant experience in employment/labour law through HR or ER/IR roles
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven experience in complex industrial environments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial relations principles and practices
  • Able to articulate views and advice clearly to diverse stakeholders
