About the Role

As a key member of our Infrastructure Project Portfolio, you will lead the establishment and governance of core project baselines, encompassing scope, cost estimation, benefits, technical/design risk, and technical requirements.

This pivotal role ensures that technical requirements are fully understood and consistently applied across all project phases: Feasibility, Development, Detailed Design, Construction, and Commissioning.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Implement an engineering, design, and assurance management framework for Infrastructure Projects.
  • Lead Systems Engineering and Systems Integration activities.
  • Oversee Systems Assurance and Requirements Management processes.
  • Conduct engineering stage and project stage gate assessments.

We're seeking an experienced professional with formal engineering qualifications, at least 10 years' working within a multidisciplinary environment, and a proven experience working on rail projects developing systems and engineering process.

You should possess a comprehensive working knowledge of technology, standards, and procedures for rail systems and services design, testing, and commissioning for major rail infrastructure projects.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status / Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or Victoria (RPEV), and National Engineering Register (NER) credentials—or the ability to obtain them.
  • Proven capacity to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to foster collaboration and obtain cooperation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.
