Electronic Medical Record Integration Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished professional to join our team as an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Integration Specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work on a large-scale transformational program across two healthcare organizations.

As an EMR Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integration architectures required to deliver the exchange of critical data between the EMR and third-party application systems. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between these systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with healthcare service integration teams to determine current integration methods and capabilities.
  • Develop integration architectures that support the development of highly interoperable environments.
  • Manage a team of analysts to develop and deploy integration architecture designs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science;

A minimum of 5 years of experience working in EMR environments in a leadership role;

Experience in healthcare or regulated industries;

Strong HL7 experience and ability to configure interfaces;

Sound knowledge of FHIR, RESTful APIs, SOAP, and secure messaging protocols;

Experience with data integration technologies;

Ability to lead workshops and document technical solutions;

Strong vendor management skills and experience working with third-party partners;

Demonstrated ability to work with diverse experts and stakeholders;

Current Victorian driver's license;

Good interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;

Additional desirable qualifications include previous experience in large-scale EMR implementations.
