Job Opportunity:

Maintain and care for our Retirement Villages' grounds, gardens, and buildings to ensure they are always in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Perform minor building repair works to fixtures and maintain the village's exterior and interior spaces.
  • Ensure lawns, gardens, irrigation systems, pools, and grounds are well-maintained and visually appealing.
  • Assist residents with minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing fly screens, and repairing locks.
  • Help set up and dismantle special event facilities, including BBQs and morning teas.
  • Conduct safety inspections and perform light cleaning of community centers.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate verifiable experience in a maintenance role, preferably in aged care or retirement living settings.
  • Show a proactive attitude towards maintaining the village's properties and infrastructure.
  • Hold trade qualifications or be willing to learn about aged care principles.
  • Be able to interact effectively with elderly residents on a daily basis.
  • Possess a valid LR driver's license to operate the village bus.
  • Undergo a National Police check prior to employment.
