Mental Health Advocate

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Peer Worker with lived experience to support mental health consumers in living a healthy lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to develop, implement, and evaluate targeted lifestyle interventions for consumers with mental health issues.
- Develop empathetic relationships and provide individual consultations, coaching, education, and group interventions to facilitate recovery principles of hope, choice, self-determination, and social connectedness.
- Draw upon personal lived experience of mental health concerns and recovery journey to support consumers.
Requirements:
- Personal experience as a consumer of Mental Health Services.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health promotion or related discipline.
- Experience working in a peer support/consumer worker role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current local, State, and National legislation and standards relevant to mental health.
